The Scott Polar Research Institute (SPRI) is a global centre of excellence for Polar research. The expeditions of Captain Robert Falcon Scott and Sir Ernest Shackleton were among the first to generate extensive written records alongside photographic archives – captured in this calendar by the photographers Herbert Ponting and Frank Hurley.
